I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in joint replacement, including robotic surgery.

I regularly undertake all forms of joint replacement, including robotic hip and knee replacement as well as partial knee replacement. I also perform arthroscopic knee surgery and trauma surgery.

I graduated from St Andrews University with Honours, completing my undergraduate training at Manchester University. I undertook my Orthopaedic surgical training on the prestigious Edinburgh rotation. Whilst in training, I was awarded Masters of Surgery by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, graduating first in my year. Following this, I was awarded a Fellowship year at The Golden Jubilee Hospital. There I gained further advanced skills in hip and knee joint replacement with a particular focus on MAKO robotic hip and knee surgery.

I enjoy teaching and regularly train other surgeons in the skills of joint replacement.

I live in Edinburgh and, outside of work, enjoy sailing, racket sports (being a member of Edinburgh Sports Club) and British classic cars.

Fees: My fees range from £220 for an initial consultation to £130 for a follow up visit. I am currently fee assured with all the major medical insurers.
