Professional Profile: I am a fellowship-trained shoulder and knee surgeon (Fellowship in Toronto, 1998-1999). Over the last 19 years as an Orthopaedic Consultant, I have developed a reputation for expertise in shoulder arthroscopy and complex shoulder reconstruction. I also perform regular total shoulder replacement and reverse geometry shoulder replacement for osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, rotator cuff arthropathy and post traumatic arthritis.

I have a special interest in shoulder instability and injuries sustained in contact sports in professional sportsmen and women. I also have an interest in rotator cuff disease, management and prevention. I lecture regularly, nationally and internationally, on these subjects and also perform live surgery internationally in order to demonstrate complex shoulder arthroscopic techniques.

I am Chairman of the Watanabe Club which runs bi-annual arthroscopic cadaveric teaching courses in the UK. The faculty is made up by a group of the most experienced arthroscopic shoulder surgeons in the UK. These courses aim to train senior orthopaedic trainees and junior consultants in the techniques of shoulder arthroscopy, from basic techniques to advanced reconstruction.

Personal Profile: My outside interests include sprint triathlon, cycling and distance swimming. I pride myself on doing most of my weekly commute on my bicycle and have done away with my hospital parking permit!

Fees: My fees range from £180 for an initial consultation to £110 for a follow up visit.

If you are insured please check the Fee Schedule, which we are required to make available to patients according to the Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA)
